The Monterey Diner is part of the Monetery cinemas in Auckland, New Zealand. They were after a menu design that had an American diner feel to it. We went with quite a retro sort of feel through the colour palette, font selection and illustrations.

We created the type of logo that you'd typically see as signage for an American diner. The cyan and pink colours helped to create a menu design that was reminiscent of the colour schemes often used in old school diners. We also used a tile pattern which is commonly used on walls in American diners, along with a cream background and slight texture over the text and illustrations to provide an older, retro type feel to the menu design. We were happy to bring a classic American Diner feel to Auckland, New Zealand.
